The capital city of Tajikistan is Dushanbe, which is also the largest city in the country. The population of Dushanbe is approximately 1.3 million.

Dushanbe has a central business district (CBD) which is located in the center of the city. Dushanbe's CBD is the main economic and commercial center of the city, where the main banks, businesses, stores, and government offices are concentrated. It is characterized by skyscrapers, modern buildings, and commercial activity.

Tajikistan does not have metropolitan areas like those of other countries. However, there are urban settlements in different regions of the country, where a larger population and economic activities are concentrated. 

As for the rule of the size of cities, Tajikistan is governed more by the primate city rule than by the rank-size rule. Dushanbe is the capital city and the largest city in the country; it is the dominant political, economic, and cultural center. Other major cities in Tajikistan include Khujand, Qurghonteppa, and Kulob. However, these cities are smaller in terms of population compared to Dushanbe.

The main method of transportation in Tajikistan is road transport. Roads connect the country's cities and regions, facilitating the movement of people and goods. Public transportation in cities includes buses and minibusses, which are popular means of getting around within urban areas. In addition, private transport, such as cars and motorcycles, is also common.
