AND THEY HAVE A LANGUAGE, ETHNICITY AND RELIGION?

Tajikistan is a diverse country in terms of languages, religions, cultural traditions, and ethnic groups.  Several languages are spoken in Tajikistan, with Tajik being the official and majority language. Tajik is a Persian variant used in public administration, education, and the media. Other languages are also spoken in the country, such as Russian, which is used due to the heritage of the Soviet era and the commercial and cultural relations with Russia.  In terms of religion, Tajikistan is predominantly Muslim, with Sunni Islam. However, there are also religious minorities such as Orthodox Christians, Baha'is, and Jews. Tajikistan has a combination of folk and popular cultural influences. In Tajikistan music and dance is essential, the most important being traditional folk music such as Shashmaqam and Maqom, which is appreciated and is part of the country's cultural expressions. At the same time, pop culture and modern media also have a significant presence in Tajik society,...

WHAT ABOUT THEIR ECONOMY AND DEVELOPMENT?

Tajikistan is at an early stage of development according to the Rostow Development Model. Although there has been progress in certain aspects, the country still faces significant challenges in achieving sustainable economic growth and comprehensive development. Tajikistan is in the "take-off" stage according to Rostow, where efforts are being made to diversify the economy and modernize key sectors, such as agriculture, industry, and services. In terms of Wallerstein's development model, Tajikistan is in the "periphery" category. The country is heavily dependent on the export of raw materials and agricultural products, Tajikistan faces challenges in terms of external dependence and vulnerability to changes in commodity prices on international markets. In terms of labor structure, approximately 70% of the labor force in Tajikistan is employed in the primary sector, which includes agriculture and mining. The secondary sector, which comprises industry and manufactur...

THEY HAVE A CBD...?

The capital city of Tajikistan is Dushanbe, which is also the largest city in the country. The population of Dushanbe is approximately 1.3 million. Dushanbe has a central business district (CBD) which is located in the center of the city. Dushanbe's CBD is the main economic and commercial center of the city, where the main banks, businesses, stores, and government offices are concentrated. It is characterized by skyscrapers, modern buildings, and commercial activity. Tajikistan does not have metropolitan areas like those of other countries. However, there are urban settlements in different regions of the country, where a larger population and economic activities are concentrated.  As for the rule of the size of cities, Tajikistan is governed more by the primate city rule than by the rank-size rule. Dushanbe is the capital city and the largest city in the country; it is the dominant political, economic, and cultural center. Other major cities in Tajikistan include Khujand, Qurghonte...

AND THEIR AGRICULTURE...?

Tajikistan is a country with a high population density, which means that there is a clustered distribution of the population relative to the size of the territory, Tajikistan has 67 people per square kilometer. Physiological density is a measure that compares the total population to available arable land. In the case of Tajikistan, due to its mountainous territory and the presence of sparsely populated areas, physiological density is relatively low. This indicates that there is a significant amount of land available per person in terms of cultivation. Agricultural density, on the other hand, refers to the number of farmers per unit of arable land. Tajikistan has a population engaged in agriculture, which is reflected in a higher agricultural density compared to physiological density. This may indicate that agriculture plays an important role in the economy and livelihood of the population. In Tajikistan, subsistence agriculture is predominant, implying that agricultural production is m...

HOW THE STATE OF TAJIKISTAN WORKS?

Tajikistan has a unitary system of government, which means that political power is concentrated in the central government and distributed through administrative subdivisions within the country. In terms of political division, Tajikistan is divided into provinces, also known as viloyats. Currently, the country consists of 2 autonomous provinces, 1 autonomous region, and 1 district of the capital, Dushanbe.  As for Tajikistan's borders, the country has mainly geometric borders defined by international agreements and treaties, these borders are the result of historical and political processes and are not based on religious or ethnic divisions. Tajikistan is considered a multinational state, as it is home to different ethnic groups and cultures. Although Tajiks are the dominant ethnic group, there are also communities of Uzbeks, Russians, Pamiris, Kyrgyz, and other minority ethnic groups. Tajikistan's constitution guarantees rights and protection to all ethnic communities in the co...

WHAT ABOUT DEMOGRAPHY AND MIGRATION?

Tajikistan is in stage two of the Demographic Transition Model. This implies that the country has experienced a decline in mortality rates, but still maintains high birth rates. This stage is usually associated with a transition to a more industrialized and urbanized society, with improvements in health care and education. CBR = 28 CDR = 7 NIR = 1.36% Tajikistan's birth rate is high, with a total birth rate of approximately 28 births per 1,000 population . However, a decline in the birth rate has also been observed in recent years due to factors such as urbanization, limited access to health services and education, and the emigration of women of reproductive age.  The mortality rate is approximately 7 deaths per 1,000 population . This can be attributed to factors such as poverty, lack of access to adequate medical care, and infectious diseases. As a result of a high birth rate and a significant mortality rate, Tajikistan experiences positive natural growth, with a natural growth r...
